Text technology is a pocket rocket for firework fund-raisers!

As a leading professional fireworks company Fantastic Fireworks are involved in many of the firework displays which raise hundreds of thousands of pounds for charity every year.

Last weekend we were proud to help the Henley Summer Fireworks in a unique and ground-breaking collaboration. As well as staging an awesome finale to Regatta Week we suggested a hi-tec addition to the traditional bucket collections – donations by text. Using mobile phone technology and the online donations service Just Giving organisers were able to tap directly into the many thousands of spectators who filled the town.  The result has added a welcome boost to the collection which will be divided among local charities.

The delighted organiser, Billy Pinches, whose team of volunteers from Henley Lions make it all possible, told us afterwards: ‘ This was the most brilliant show anyone in Henley can remember. I loved every minute of it and I am very grateful to Fantastic Fireworks for helping us raise even more money for good causes.
