Star Wars spectacular puts a big smile on the face of little Olly

Posted on October 29, 2016

We were delighted to read this blog from a family who saw our Fireworks & Laser spectacular with music from Star Wars at Drayton Manor Park last night (October 28). The show is on again tonight (October 29) and tomorrow. Catch it if you can!

Last night we drove over to Drayton Manor to experience their fireworks and laser spectacular. We haven’t been to the event before so was excited to see the show as we had heard great things about it.

This year was set to be the biggest event yet and combined the showing of the Star Wars movie, The Force Awakens. We didn’t get to see the movie as our three year old is far too young (and wouldn’t sit still long enough to enjoy it) but we enjoyed our favourite rides in Thomas Land before the fireworks and laser show started.

The fireworks started at 7pm and were absolutely brilliant. There were lots of brilliantly bright explosions in the sky and were timed to explode over the lake, set to the Star Wars soundtrack and it was such a good show.

Olly was a little afraid of the loud fireworks (he’s not really experienced anything like the show before so it was completely understandable why he was a little worried) but he did love them and when the fireworks finished he had a big smile on his face.

The lasers were brilliant and added another element to the show. It was really fitting to see the lasers dance around the sky to the Star Wars music, there were lots of children waving their light sabers around enjoying the show.

The fireworks and laser show lasts 20 minutes and it kept us captivated throughout.
