Midnight in Moscow means an early night for Edwina’s oldies!

As one of the UK’s leading New Year’s Eve firework companies we’re often asked to stage firework displays to celebrate the midnight moment. Last New Year’s Eve we were delighted to get a booking from the well-known broadcaster and former politician Edwina Currie.

But this wasn’t the conventional midnight celebration we were expecting.

As Edwina explained, many of her guests are ‘getting on a bit’ and might not be able to stay awake. So instead she came up with the idea of having the display at 10 o’clock and calling it Midnight in Moscow!

We created a music mix with a Russian theme, including tracks like Kenny Ball’s Midnight in Moscow, Kalinka and Boney M’s Ra Ra Rasputin, and choreographed the display with plenty of red starbursts.
