Diamonds are forever!

The greatest, the most awesome and the most spectacular firework display ever seen at Drayton Manor Park. Not our words but those of Mr Colin Bryan, Managing Director of the Midlands theme park after the fireworks and laser show which marked the finale to their Diamond Jubilee year. ‘The word excellent is not wonderful enough to congratulate you on what you have achieved. Even after 21 years of displays here you have come up with another special event. You have set a new standard of excellence which will be the benchmark for all future displays.’ A near record attendance were shaken and stirred by a movie theme display which included such favourites as James Bond, Harry Potter, Captain Jack Sparrow, Darth Vader and the Titanic. Setting the show around the lake allowed our designer Ian Woodroof to use its breadth and length to create a beautifully layered display. From the heat of giant flames which heralded the opening of Live & Let Die to the cleverly choreographed sequence of a couple ‘Singing in the Rain’ on the giant waterscreen, this was a show that warmed your heart! We are proud and pleased to report that Drayton Manor Park have signed up Fantastic Fireworks for the opening of their new hotel in 2011 followed by two more multi-media end-of-season spectaculars.
