British Fireworks Champions!
If you’re planning a fireworks display Britain’s new champion firework company is ready to fire up the night. We are delighted to announce that we have won the British Fireworks Championship. We were competing against 5 other leading firework companies for the prestigious title at the annual event in Plymouth. Nearly half a million people lined the promenades and coastline to watch two nights of top class firework displays. Congratulations to our magnificent team who worked in the worst of weather conditions to create a truly fantastic show. To see just how bad it was during the set up, take a look at these two photos taken only a few hours apart!
It was our second title win and comes as we celebrate 30 years in fireworks. Fantastic Fireworks managing director Jon Culverhouse said: ‘It’s a fantastic present for our 30th birthday year. Our team worked in the worst weather anyone can remember. Wind and driving rain all day soaked everyone to the skin but we managed to keep the fireworks dry. It’s a credit to the professionalism of our team that everything went off as planned.’
Our title win marks the start of a busy schedule in the build-up to Bonfire Night. In September we are competing in the United States where we are taking part in the international fireworks festival Fire Up the Night in Cincinnati, Ohio. In October we will be in Southport bidding for the title of British Musical Firework Champions – a competition in which leading UK fireworks companies demonstrate their ability to choreograph fireworks to music.
In November we will be delivering some of the nation’s biggest and most spectacular displays, including a unique fireworks production of Jeff Wayne’s Musical Version of The War of the Worlds at Drayton Manor Park and Windsor Racecourse.
