New Year wipeout? Let’s celebrate with the Last Night of Freedom Fireworks!

With professional fireworks display organisers and firework company event managers facing a lean night of New Year’s Eve fireworks, let’s make the most of the 5 days of Christmas. Families are allowed a limited opportunity to meet up and celebrate from December 23rd to the 27th. But when it comes to New Year’s Eve, celebrations will be very muted. Even the fabled London New Year fireworks have been cancelled.

So here’s a plan. Why not make the most of the days we can celebrate together by staging New Year’s Eve parties on the last night of freedom,  Thursday the 27th. Being the night before a return to tiers it’s bound to have a party atmosphere before we all have to step inside again and wait for the vaccine.

One way to bring everyone together this festive season, even if you can’t invite your friends round, is to hold a display you can livestream.  All the major social media platforms offer this (except tiktok where you need at least 1000 followers. Respect if you have!). Whether you’re celebrating on December 27th or the 31st it’s a novel way to unite family and friends not only here in the UK but across the world.
