Clearwell Castle

Clearwell Castle is one of Gloucestershire’s finest wedding venues. Set within the enchanting and tranquil Forest of Dean, the venue offers an idyllic, fairy-tale setting for a truly memorable wedding day.

The spectacular Ballroom is licensed to hold civil ceremonies and offers a grand setting. The impressive 75ft aisle and the leaded glass windows create a unique and peaceful setting, usually found in elegant churches. The Ballroom can accommodate up to 150 seated guests for your ceremony and your wedding breakfast. For the evening reception the newly transformed Vaulted Cellar Bar can accommodate up to 250 guests.

You and your wedding party can enjoy exclusive use of the Castle for a wonderful and private wedding celebration.

The Castle also has 15 stunning bedrooms which can be reserved for the night of your wedding. The superb rooms offer a delightful night’s stay after the excitement and emotion of your big day. Charingworth Manor

With its stunning location, Charingworth Manor is an exceptional location for your special wedding day in the Cotswolds.

Its stunning Orangery, commanding the most amazing views over the Costwolds has been stylishly designed to complement this ancient manor house, perfect for wedding ceremonies and receptions seating 90 and if used with our Long Room there will be seating for 120 for your Wedding Breakfast.

The hotel is fully licensed for civil ceremonies for up to 200 guests, and the choice of different function suites means it can cater for wedding parties from an intimate party of 4 to marquee wedding receptions for up to 250.

Offering intimate packages from £4000, to exclusive use of the whole Hotel; Thornbury castle is the perfect location for your unique and unforgettable wedding. There is also the option of hiring your own marquee to seat up to 100 guests on our lawns.

The dramatic outlines of the castle creates an unforgettable backdrop for weddings, with its historic Tudor gardens where you can say your vows. The historic Tudor Hall is the largest room. This truly magnificent room boasts an impressive mullioned window, exposed stone walls and intricate tapestries, together with a huge original fireplace. Two further interlinking reception rooms, the Boyling House and the Great Oven, make this a superbly versatile venue for your wedding celebrations.

Thornbury Castle has 27 unique bedchambers for you and your guests to become immersed in the spirit of the place. The suites are ideal for preparing for (and recovering from) the big day. All of the bedchambers are regally decorated and appointed to the highest standard.
